Program Overview
At Expeditions, we champion the extraordinary power of learning by doing. We believe that when we empower kids to delve into exploration, their potential is limitless. We infuse nature into our classrooms, leveraging natural elements to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper connection with the world around us. Our goal? To reshape early education in Maine, impacting every single child. And our approach is steeped in our philosophy, a nurturing, engaging method grounded in empathy and enlightened by extensive knowledge in child development.
Why are our programs
Unique?
The role of our educators extends beyond traditional teaching - they are architects of experiences. That's why at Expeditions we provide "invitations to play" which are designed to encourage children to explore a concept and creatively use materials. The benefit of these types of lesson plans is that there is not a specific end goal. Children are able to learn through exploration, and feed their drive for understanding. We advocate for an adaptable curriculum that grows based on the individual interests and capabilities of each child, rather than sticking to rigid, theme-based lessons.
